About This Course

Take an actor's tour of Victorian England, explore the various dialects, customs and societal forces that were the backdrop to Charles Dickens’ work. Through this journey, you’ll check out the shadowy corners and bright sunny gardens of Victorian-era roles, walking in their shoes to inhabit a Dickens character physically and vocally.

Course will meet over ZOOM on Thursdays from 6:00p-7:30p. The course will run from 9/17/20 to 11/5/20.

Terry Erbe

Although Terry is a native of Kansas, he has spent the majority of his life in Kansas City, MO and Tucson. Terry taught acting, directing and playwriting at Catalina Foothills High School for 15 years before moving back to KCMO in 2015.


During his time in Tucson, Terry directed over 40 plays and musicals at CFHS while also producing nearly 30 student-directed shows. Outside of school, Terry was seen throughout our community as an actor, director and designer, working on over two dozen productions at The Rogue, Invisible Theatre, Live Theatre Workshop, Beowulf Alley and the company he co-founded, Winding Road Theatre Ensemble. Currently, Terry is living with his wife, Amy, in Lee's Summit, MO and teaching at Paseo Academy of Fine & Performing Arts. He is entering his 32nd year of teaching theatre.
